My client this semester was The Green Room- a student produced, mockumentary style web series produced by students at Samford University.

This is a news release I created for my client to send to local news sources to introduce The Green Room and explain who they are and what they do. The goal was to find the news value associated with my client in order to increase the appeal to reporters. The ultimate goal, of course, is to have your news release turned into a story published by the local paper or news outlet.
This news release was written for an event The Green Room was going to host to invite the community to come visit the set and person and meet the cast members. I thought this would be a good way to get the community more involved and to generate awareness of the show.
I created two infographics for my client, one general and one for the open house that I wrote a news release for. I used traditional colors from the logo for the general infographic because I wanted it to consistent with The Green Room’s brand image. I used more bright, fun colors and fonts for the event infographic to draw attention and make it stand out.
